Imagine your coming across the ocean, you've been travelling for days, all of a sudden you see an island in the distance. As you get closer you think that it looks quiet and peaceful... but is it really?

good render allthough without the birds the ground space looks massive but then the birds make it look tiny or the birds are huge im not sure how you make things look closer (i could tell you in bryce or vue but ive never used terragen) but then again i cant really talk cos my attempts at 3d art are shocking :) i do like it though

Terragen is a fantastic program for landscaping, just not too keen on the sky it produces. On occasion it does produce some nice sky, but most of the time its a case of adding in your own sky from somewhere else.

the birds add a sorta mysterious feel to it i reckon :)

personally i prefer the b&w version, adds a sligt touch of mystery to the image.
